Description
- Mycon oral gel is indicated for the treatment of oral and gastrointestinal candidiasis, eradication of fungal colonization in the mouth and gastrointestinal tract, and treatment of super infections due to gram-positive bacteria. It is also indicated in dermatomycoses such as Tinea pedis, Tinea corporis, Tinea manuum, Candidial infections, Tinea versicolor, infections of the skin, perianal infections, stomatitis angularis, balanoposthitis, and otitis externa.

- For oropharyngeal candidosis: Infants 4-24 months: 1.25 ml (1/4 measuring spoon) of gel, applied 4 times a day after meals
- For oropharyngeal candidosis: Adults and children 2 years of age and older: 2.5 ml (1/2 measuring spoon) of gel, applied 4 times a day after meals
- Missed Dose: Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember or omit the missed dose in case of next dosing time
- Miconazole Cream: Application frequency and duration for different skin conditions
Administration
- Application of gel for localized lesions of the mouth 2-4 times a day directly to the affected area with a clean finger
- Removal of dental prosthesis at night and brushing with the gel for oral candidosis
Interaction
- Avoid concomitant treatment with Terfenadine, Astemizole, and Cisapride
- Monitor anti-coagulant effect and phenytoin plasma level when used concomitantly with Mycon
