Description

  • Indicated for the treatment of onychomycosis of the toenail or fingernail due to dermatophytes
  • Effective against Tinea Capitis, Tinea Pedis, Tinea Corporis, cutaneous candidiasis, and Pityriasis Versicolor
  • Inhibits biosynthesis of Ergosterol via inhibition of Squalene Epoxidase enzyme
  • Tablet dosage for fingernail onychomycosis: 250 mg once daily for 6 weeks
  • Cream application for Tinea Corporis, Cruris: 1 to 2 weeks
  • Granules dosage based on body weight for up to 6 weeks
  • Interacts with CYP450 2D6-metabolized drugs
  • Contraindicated in individuals hypersensitive to terbinafine
  • Common side effects include gastrointestinal symptoms, liver test abnormalities, rashes, and taste disturbances
  • Not recommended during pregnancy and lactation
  • Rare cases of liver failure reported
  • No established safety and efficacy in pediatric patients

Dosage & Administration

Interaction
