Description
- Biozyl is an antibiotic medication used for the treatment and prevention of viral, bacterial, and parasitic infections. It is also indicated for specific diseases like trichomoniasis, bacterial vaginosis, amoebiasis, giardiasis, gingivitis, ulcers, and pressure sores.
Dosage and administration
- Recommended dosage for trichomoniasis, intestinal amoebiasis, extra-intestinal & asymptomatic amoebiasis, giardiasis, acute ulcerative gingivitis, acute dental infections, bacterial vaginosis, leg ulcers and pressure sores, anaerobic infections, and surgical prophylaxis.
Pharmacology
- Metronidazole is a member of the imidazole class of antibacterial drugs and classified therapeutically as an antiprotozoal agent, exerting its bactericidal action by interacting with DNA.
Interaction
