Pharmacology
Metronidazole is an imidazole class antibacterial drug used as an antiprotozoal agent. It interacts with DNA to give bactericidal action.
Dosage & Administration
- Various dosages for different age groups and conditions like trichomoniasis, intestinal amoebiasis, extra-intestinal amoebiasis, giardiasis, acute ulcerative gingivitis, bacterial vaginosis, leg ulcers and pressure sores, anaerobic infections, surgical prophylaxis
- Different dosages for vaginal gel and suppository administration
- Intravenous infusion dosage for adults and children over 12 years and under 12 years

Contraindications
