Dosage varies for trichomoniasis, intestinal amoebiasis, extra-intestinal & asymptomatic amoebiasis, giardiasis, acute ulcerative gingivitis, acute dental infections, bacterial vaginosis, leg ulcers and pressure sores, anaerobic infections, surgical prophylaxis
Different dosages for adults and children in different age groups
Recommendations for vaginal gel and suppository administration

Disulfiram may lead to psychotic reactions if used concurrently
Alcohol consumption during therapy and for at least one day afterwards should be avoided
Potential interaction with oral anticoagulant therapy (warfarin type), lithium, cyclosporin, phenytoin or phenobarbital, 5-fluorouracil, and busulfan

Contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Metronidazole or other Nitroimidazole derivatives
