Metroson is a medication used for the treatment and prevention of various bacterial and parasitic infections.

- Pharmacology: Metroson is a member of the imidazole class of antibacterial drug and is classified therapeutically as an antiprotozoal agent. It interacts with DNA and provides bactericidal action against anaerobic bacteria.
