Description
Neogyl 400 mg Tablet is an antibiotic medication used for the treatment and prevention of bacterial, parasitic, and viral infections. It is also indicated for conditions such as trichomoniasis, giardiasis, amoebiasis, and ulcerative gingivitis.

Dosage Instructions
- 200 mg tid or 400 mg bid for 7 days for trichomoniasis in adults and children over 10 years
- 800 mg in the morning and 1-2 gm at night for 2 days for trichomoniasis
- 2 gm as a single dose for 1 day for trichomoniasis
- 100-800 mg tid for various durations for different types of amoebiasis, gingivitis, bacterial vaginosis, leg ulcers, anaerobic infections, and surgical prophylaxis
Interaction Warnings
- Concurrent use with disulfiram may lead to psychotic reactions
- Avoid consuming alcohol during therapy and for at least one day afterwards
- Potentiates the effect of oral anticoagulants like warfarin
- May increase plasma levels of lithium and cyclosporin
- May result in increased toxicity of phenytoin, phenobarbital, 5-fluorouracil, and busulfan

Hypersensitivity to Metronidazole or other Nitroimidazole derivatives
