Interaction

  • Diminished ability to metabolize large doses with barbiturates, tricyclic antidepressants, and alcohol

Contraindications

  • Known hypersensitivity to Paracetamol

Overdose Effects

  • Liver damage possible in adults with 10 g or more intake
  • Liver damage possible with 5 g or more intake and presence of risk factors
  • Symptoms of overdose in the first 24 hours
  • Liver damage apparent 12 to 48 hours after ingestion
  • Abnormalities of glucose metabolism
