Dosage & Administration

  • Children (6-12 years) tablet dosage: ½ to 1 tablet 3 to 4 times daily
  • Extended release tablet dosage for adults & children over 12 years: Two tablets every 6 to 8 hours (maximum of 6 tablets in any 24 hours)
  • Children's syrup/suspension dosage based on age and weight

Interaction

  • Diminished metabolization with barbiturates, tricyclic antidepressants, and alcohol
  • Increased hepatotoxicity with alcohol overdosage
  • Chronic ingestion effects on liver enzymes

Contraindications

  • Known hypersensitivity to Paracetamol
