Pharmacology
Combination of Paracetamol and Caffeine. Paracetamol has analgesic and antipyretic properties. Caffeine increases solubility and transmembrane permeation of Paracetamol. It also increases pain threshold and tolerance.
Dosage & Administration
- Adult dose: 1-2 tablets every 4-6 hours. Maximum dose: 8 tablets daily.
- Child dose: Not recommended for children below 12 years
Interaction
May interact with anticonvulsants, anticoagulants, metoclopramide, domperidone, probenecid, chloramphenicol, and colestyramine.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in severe renal function impairment, hepatic disease, and known hypersensitivity to Paracetamol or Caffeine.

Pregnancy & Lactation
Consult with a doctor before taking it during pregnancy. Can be taken while breastfeeding.
Precautions & Warnings
Use cautiously in patients with hepatic or renal failure, and in those taking other hepatotoxic medication. Prolonged use without consulting a physician should be avoided.
Overdose Effects
Symptoms of overdose include pallor, nausea, vomiting, anorexia, abdominal pain, liver damage, abnormalities of glucose metabolism, and metabolic acidosis.
