Dosage and Administration

  • Usual Doses: 50 to 100 mg every 4-6 hours
  • Initial Dose for Acute Pain: 100 mg
  • Initial Dose for Chronic Pain: 50 mg
  • Maximum Daily Dosage: 400 mg
  • Frequency of Dosing Based on Pain Severity
  • Sustained Release: One SR capsule every 12 hours
  • Injection Dosage: 50-100 mg every 4-6 hours
  • Suppository Administration: 100 mg every 6 hours for adults, Higher Doses for Severe Pain

Interactions

  • Contraindications with MAO Inhibitors
  • Significant Increase in Metabolism with Carbamazepine

  • Hypersensitivity to Tramadol
