Indications

• Management of moderate to moderately severe pain in adults
• Short-term management of acute pain for five days or less

Pharmacology

• Paracetamol has analgesic and antipyretic properties
• Tramadol is a centrally acting synthetic opioid analgesic
• Actions on CNS and pain threshold
• Inhibition of cyclooxygenase enzymes
• Inhibition of norepinephrine and serotonin reuptake

Dosage & Administration

• Recommended dose for moderate to moderately severe pain
• Recommended dose for short-term acute pain
• Maximum daily dosage
• Administration without regard to food

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to tramadol, paracetamol, or opioids
• Contraindicated in situations where opioids are contraindicated

Side Effects

• Adverse reactions such as dizziness, headache, abdominal pain, constipation, nausea, etc.

Pregnancy & Lactation

• Pregnancy Category C
• Use during pregnancy if benefit justifies risk to fetus
• Not recommended for nursing mothers

Precautions & Warnings

• May impair mental or physical abilities
• Avoid consumption with alcohol
• Avoid combination with other tramadol or paracetamol-containing products
• Caution when taking certain medications

Use in Special Populations

• Not studied in pediatric population
• Caution in dose selection for elderly patients
• Not studied in patients with impaired renal function
• Not studied in patients with impaired hepatic function
