Indications

  • Management of moderate to moderately severe pain in adults
  • Short-term (five days or less) management of acute pain

Pharmacology

  • Paracetamol has analgesic and antipyretic properties with weak anti-inflammatory activity
  • Tramadol is a centrally acting synthetic opioid analgesic

Dosage & Administration

  • Recommended dose is 1 or 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours for moderate to moderately severe pain
  • Recommended dose is 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours for short-term management of acute pain

Contraindications

  • Not to be administered to patients with hypersensitivity to tramadol, paracetamol, or opioids

Use in Special Populations

  • Not studied in pediatric population
  • Cautious dose selection for elderly patients
  • Not studied in patients with impaired renal function or hepatic function
