Indications

• Management of moderate to moderately severe pain in adults
• Short-term (five days or less) management of acute pain

Pharmacology

• Analgesic and antipyretic properties
• Weak anti-inflammatory activity
• Primary action in the CNS
• Increases pain threshold

Dosage & Administration

• Recommended dose: 1 or 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours
• Maximum of 8 tablets per day
• Can be administered without regard to food

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to tramadol or paracetamol
• Contraindicated in any situation where opioids are contraindicated

Pregnancy & Lactation

• Pregnancy Category C

• Not recommended for nursing mothers

Precautions & Warnings

• May impair mental or physical abilities
• Should not be taken with alcohol
• Avoid combination with other tramadol or paracetamol-containing products
• Use with caution when taking medications such as tranquilizers or other opiate-containing analgesics

Use in Special Populations

• Safety and effectiveness not studied in pediatric population
• Cautious dose selection for elderly patients
• Not studied in patients with impaired renal function
• Not studied in patients with impaired hepatic function
