Indications
- Management of moderate to moderately severe pain in adults
- Short-term management of acute pain
Pharmacology
- Analgesic and antipyretic properties
- Weak anti-inflammatory activity
- Acts primarily in the CNS
- Increases pain threshold
- Inhibits cyclooxygenase enzymes
- Centrally acting synthetic opioid analgesic
- Inhibits reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin
Dosage & Administration
- Recommended dose: 1 or 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours
- Maximum of 8 tablets per day
- Can be administered without regard to food
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to tramadol, paracetamol, or opioids
- Contraindicated in situations where opioids are contraindicated

Precautions & Warnings
- May impair mental or physical abilities
- Not to be taken with alcohol
- Not to be taken with other tramadol or paracetamol-containing products
- Use with caution when taking tranquilizers, hypnotics, or other opiate-containing analgesics
Use in Special Populations
- Safety and effectiveness not studied in the pediatric population
- Elderly: cautious dose selection
- Renal Disease: dosing interval adjustment for creatinine clearances of less than 30 ml/min
- Hepatic Disease: not recommended for use
