Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage: 1.5 mg daily, adjustable to maximum 4.5 mg daily
- Children dosage: Up to 1.5 mg daily (aged over 2 years)
- Administration as a single dose at night or in divided doses
Interaction
- Enhancement of central effects of sedatives, hypnotics, antihistamines, and alcohol
- Antagonism of hypotensive effect of adrenergic neurone blockers
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients
