Indications
- Relief of signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis
- Rheumatoidal disorders treatment

Pharmacology
Dexibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug with analgesic action, acts by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, absorbed primarily from the small intestine, elimination half-life is 1.8-3.5 hours.
Dosage & Administration
Recommended dosage is 600-900 mg Dexibuprofen per day, can be raised temporarily up to 1200 mg per day, at a divided dose.
Interaction
Drug interactions with anticoagulant, hydantoine, sulfonamide, ticlopidine, lithium, other NSAIDs, ACE inhibitors, beta blockers, cyclosporine, tacrolimus, corticosteroids, digoxin, methotrexate, pentoxyfiline, phenytoine, probenecid, sulfinpyrazon, sulfonylurea, thiazide and thiazide type diuretics, zidovudine.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Dexibuprofen
- Previous history of hypersensitivity to NSAID
- Active or suspected hemorrhage
- Serious heart diseases
- Kidney function impairment
- Liver function impairment

Overdose Effects
Low acute toxicities, treatment must be symptomatic, no specific antidote, activated charcoal administration, vomiting induction only when life-threatening quantities ingested, dialysis of little value.
