Dosage & Administration
- 75-150 mg daily in 2 to 3 divided doses for adults
- Dose reduction in long term use
- Recommended dosage for Diclofenac FC Tablet, SR Tablet, Dispersible Tablet, TR Capsule, Suppository, injection, and Gel
- Maximum daily doses for various formulations
- Specific dosage for children and elderly patients
Interaction
- Potential drug interactions with lithium and digoxin
- Increased risk of haemorrhage with anticoagulants
- Safe use with oral antidiabetic agents
- Potential nephrotoxicity with cyclosporin
- Cases of serious toxicity with methotrexate and NSAIDs
- Potential convulsions with quinolone antimicrobials
- Caution with concomitant therapy of NSAID and quinolones
- Potential increase in unwanted effects with other NSAIDs and steroids
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any ingredient
- Peptic ulcer
- Hypersensitivity to Diclofenac or other non-steroid anti-inflammatory agents
- Contra-indicated in asthmatic patients

- Close observation for peptic ulceration or gastrointestinal bleeding
- Close observation for patients with advanced age
- Avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes
- Avoid oral consumption
