Interaction

  • Increased plasma concentrations of lithium and digoxin
  • Potential increased risk of haemorrhage with anticoagulant therapy

  • Reported cases of serious toxicity when combined with methotrexate
  • Potential convulsions with quinolone antimicrobials

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to any ingredient
  • Peptic ulcer
  • Hypersensitivity to Diclofenac or other non-steroid anti-inflammatory agents
  • Contraindicated in asthmatic patients and those with precipitated attacks

Side Effects

  • Mild, rare and transient adverse effects
  • Possibility of epigastric pain, eructation, nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, headache
  • Encountered peripheral edema and skin reactions
  • Local skin irritation and reddening with gel application

Pregnancy & Lactation

  • Not recommended during first trimester
  • Not recommended during lactation due to insignificant quantity detected in breast milk

Precautions & Warnings

  • Close observation in instances of peptic ulceration or gastrointestinal bleeding
  • Increased caution in advanced age patients
  • Avoid contact with eyes or mucus membranes
  • Proper hand washing after application
