Usability Features

Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage: 75-150 mg daily in 2 to 3 divided doses
- Children dosage: 1-3 mg of diclofenac/kg body weight daily in divided doses
- Apply 2-4 g of gel 3-4 times daily to the affected area
Interaction
- May have interactions with lithium, digoxin, anticoagulants, antidiabetic agents, cyclosporin, methotrexate, quinolone antimicrobials, other NSAIDs, and steroids
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any ingredient
- Peptic ulcer
- Hypersensitivity to Diclofenac
- Contra-indicated in asthmatic patients
Side Effects
- Mild, rare, and transient adverse effects
- Possible side effects include epigastric pain, eructation, nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, peripheral edema, skin reactions, local irritation, skin reddening, and rash
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Use during pregnancy only for compelling reasons
- Lowest effective dose should be used
- Not recommended during the first trimester
- Not recommended during lactation

- Close observation for peptic ulceration or gastrointestinal bleeding
