Interaction

  • Increase plasma concentrations of lithium and digoxin
  • Increased risk of haemorrhage with anticoagulant therapy
  • Can be given together with oral antidiabetic agents
  • Reports of nephrotoxicity with cyclosporin
  • Serious toxicity with methotrexate and NSAIDs
  • Potential convulsions with quinolone antimicrobials
  • Increased frequency of unwanted effects with other NSAIDs and steroids

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to any ingredient
  • Peptic ulcer
  • Hypersensitivity to Diclofenac or other non-steroid anti-inflammatory agents
  • Contra-indicated in asthmatic patients

  • Close observation for peptic ulceration or gastrointestinal bleeding
  • Close observation for patients with advanced age
  • Avoid contact with eyes or mucus membranes
  • Proper hand washing after application
  • Not to be taken by mouth
