Indications

Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage
- Renal colic dosage
- Children dosage

Interaction
- Increased plasma concentrations of Lithium and Digoxin
- Risk of haemorrhage with anticoagulant therapy
- No influence on anticoagulant effect with clinical investigations
- Can be given together with oral antidiabetic agents
- Nephrotoxicity with concomitant Cyclosporin
- Serious toxicity with concomitant Methotrexate and NSAIDs
- Risk of convulsions with quinolone antimicrobials
- Increased frequency of unwanted effects with co-administration of other NSAIDs and steroids
- Inhibition of diuretic activity
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Diclofenac
- Active or suspected peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding
- Asthma, urticaria, or acute rhinitis precipitated by Aspirin or other NSAIDs
- Hypersensitivity to local anesthetics of the amide type
- Adams-Stokes syndrome or severe degrees of heart block
- Hypersensitivity to excipients used in the formulation

Pregnancy & Lactation
- Not recommended during pregnancy
- Lowest effective dosage should be used
- Not recommended during the last trimester
- Very small quantities detected in breast milk
Precautions & Warnings
- Close observation for patients with severe hepatic, cardiac, or renal insufficiency
- Deterioration of renal function with NSAID use
- Monitoring of renal function
- Discontinuation upon abnormal liver function tests or clinical signs of liver disease
- Monitoring of patients receiving long term NSAID treatment
