Dosage & Administration

  • Oral Tablet for adults: 75-150 mg daily in 2-3 divided doses, preferably after food
  • Suppository for adults: 50 mg 2-3 times daily
  • Gel: 2-4 g applied to the skin 3-4 times daily
  • Injection: 1-2 ampoules daily
  • Capsules: One daily
  • Dispersible Tablet for children: 1-3 mg/kg body weight daily
  • Dosage to be adjusted for elderly or debilitated patients

Interaction

  • Potential interactions with Lithium, Digoxin, Anticoagulants, Antidiabetic agents, Cyclosporin, Methotrexate, Quinolone antimicrobials, Other NSAIDs and steroids

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to any ingredient
  • Peptic ulcer
  • Hypersensitivity to Diclofenac or other NSAIDs
  • Asthmatic patients with specific reactions to certain drugs
  • Avoid occlusive airtight dressings with Gel
