Product Description

  • A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) for treating inflammatory and degenerative forms of rheumatism, polyarthritis, osteoarthritis, acute gout, peri-articular rheumatic disorders, sprain, bruises, dislocations, fractures, soft tissue injuries, primary dysmenorrhoea, episiotomy, adnexitis, endometritis, parametritis, salpingitis, mastitis, pre-operative medication for pain, inflammation, and swelling, post-operative and post-traumatic pain, inflammation, and swelling, prevention and treatment of pain, inflammation, and swelling in patients operated in the urogenital tract, renal and biliary colic, with pronounced anti-rheumatic, analgesic, and antipyretic properties
  • Potent non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID)
  • Inhibits prostaglandin biosynthesis
  • Rapid and complete absorption in the gastro-intestinal tract
  • Metabolized in the liver with first pass metabolism
  • Adult dosage: 75-150 mg daily in 2 to 3 divided doses, preferably after food
  • Diclofenac SR Tablet for adults and children, Diclofenac Dispersible Tablet for adults and children, Diclofenac TR Capsule, Diclofenac Suppository, Diclofenac injection, Diclofenac Gel for external use only
  • May have interactions with lithium, digoxin, anticoagulants, antidiabetic agents, cyclosporin, methotrexate, quinolone antimicrobials, other NSAIDs, and steroids
  • Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any ingredient, peptic ulcer, and asthmatic patients with specific sensitivities; not for use under occlusive airtight dressings
  • Generally well tolerated with mild, rare, and transient adverse effects
  • Use during pregnancy and lactation should be reserved for compelling reasons and lowest effective dose
  • Rare instances of peptic ulceration or gastrointestinal bleeding; caution with advanced age; avoid contact with eyes or mucus membranes; not for oral consumption
  • Therapeutic class includes drugs for osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and NSAIDs
  • Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light, below 30°C, keep out of reach of children
