Interaction

Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Diclofenac or local anaesthetics of the amide type
- Active or suspected peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding
- Attacks of asthma, urticaria, or acute rhinitis precipitated by Aspirin or other NSAIDs
- Adams-Stokes syndrome or severe AV or intraventricular heart block in the absence of an artificial pacemaker
- Hypersensitivity to any of the excipients used in the formulation

- Rare instances of abscesses and local necrosis
- CNS reactions such as drowsiness, dizziness, confusion
- Dose-related adverse effects due to Lidocaine mainly involving the CNS
Pregnancy
- Not recommended during pregnancy unless compelling reasons exist
- Lowest effective dosage should be used
- Not recommended during the last trimester of pregnancy
- Very small quantities may be detected in breast milk with no undesirable effects on the infant
Precautions
- Close observation for patients with severe hepatic, cardiac, or renal insufficiency
- Lowest effective dose and renal function monitoring recommended
- Discontinue if abnormal liver function tests persist or worsen
- Long term monitoring of renal, hepatic function, and blood counts for all patients receiving NSAIDs
