Dosage & Administration
- Diclofenac FC Tablet for adults: 75-150 mg daily in 2 to 3 divided doses, preferably after food
- Diclofenac SR Tablet for adults: 1 tablet daily, taken whole with liquid, preferably at meal times
- Diclofenac Dispersible Tablet for adults: 2-3 tablets daily, maximum daily dose 150 mg
- Diclofenac TR Capsule: One capsule daily
- Diclofenac Suppository for adults: 50 mg suppository 2-3 times daily, maximum daily dose 150 mg
- Diclofenac injection for adults: 1 ampoule daily, may be increased up to 2 ampoules daily in serious cases
- Diclofenac Gel for external use only, 2-4 g applied to the skin 3-4 times daily
Interaction
- Potential interactions with lithium and digoxin
- Increased risk of hemorrhage with anticoagulant therapy
- No influence on clinical effect when given with oral antidiabetic agents
- Cases of nephrotoxicity when given with cyclosporin
- Serious toxicity reported when given with methotrexate and NSAIDs within 24 hours of each other
- Potential convulsions due to an interaction between quinolones and NSAIDs
- Increased frequency of unwanted effects when co-administered with other NSAIDs and steroids
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the products
- Peptic ulcer
- Hypersensitivity to Diclofenac or other non-steroid anti-inflammatory agents
- Contra-indicated in asthmatic patients with specific sensitivities

Pregnancy & Lactation

- Lowest effective dose should be used
- Not recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy
- Not recommended during lactation
Precautions & Warnings
- Close observation for peptic ulceration or gastrointestinal bleeding
- Avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes
- Hands should be washed properly after application
