Description

Eroflam is indicated for conditions such as Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Ankylosing spondylitis, postoperative dental surgery pain, and acute gouty arthritis. It is a potent, orally active cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) specific inhibitor.

    • Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients
    • Active peptic ulceration or active GI bleeding

    • Caution in patients at risk of GI complications with NSAIDs
    • Caution in patients with significant risk factors for cardiovascular events
    • Monitoring renal function
    • Exercise caution in patients with cardiac failure, left ventricular dysfunction, or hypertension
    • Monitoring for liver dysfunction
    • Discontinue at the first sign of hypersensitivity
    • May mask fever and other signs of inflammation
    • Caution when co-administering with warfarin or other oral anticoagulants
  • Overdose Effects:
    • Administration up to 500 mg/day did not result in significant toxicity
    • Supportive measures in case of overdose
