Indications
- Symptomatic relief of Osteoarthritis (OA)
- Symptomatic relief of Rheumatoid arthritis (RA)
- Symptomatic relief of Ankylosing spondylitis
- Symptomatic relief of acute gouty arthritis
- Short-term treatment of moderate pain associated with dental surgery
Pharmacology
- Potent COX-2 specific inhibitor
- Inhibition of COX-2 reduces pain, inflammation, and fever
Dosage & Administration
- Recommended doses for Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Ankylosing spondylitis, acute gouty arthritis, and postoperative dental surgery pain
Interaction
- Interaction with oral anticoagulants, diuretics, ACE inhibitors, Angiotensin II Antagonists, acetylsalicylic acid, ciclosporin, tacrolimus, and lithium
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to active substance or excipients
- Active peptic ulceration or gastrointestinal bleeding
- Patients with certain allergic reactions
- Pregnancy, lactation, severe hepatic dysfunction, estimated renal creatinine clearance, children and adolescents under 16 years of age, inflammatory bowel disease, congestive heart failure, hypertension, established cardiovascular diseases

- Discontinuation at first sign of hypersensitivity
- Caution when co-administering with warfarin or other oral anticoagulants
