Pharmacology
- High level of anti-inflammatory, anti-pyretic, and analgesic activity
- Inhibitor of the enzyme cyclooxygenase
- Reduces pain and stiffness
- Improves movement of different joints of arthritis sufferers
Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage: 400 mg 3 times daily
- Maximum daily dose: 2400 mg
- Variety of dosages for children based on age and body-weight
- Topical gel dosage: 4 to 10cm on affected area, not more than four times a day
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Ibuprofen
- Severe or active peptic ulceration

Precautions & Warnings

- Caution in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus
- Prescribed with caution in patients with asthma
- Use with caution in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agents
