Pharmacology
- High level of anti-inflammatory, anti-pyretic, and analgesic activity
- Potent inhibitor of the enzyme cyclooxygenase
- Reduces pain, stiffness, and swelling
- Improves movement of different joints of arthritis sufferers
DosageAndAdministration
- Adults initial dose: 400 mg 3 times daily
- Maximum daily dose: 2400 mg
- Children's dosage based on body weight and age
- Topical gel: 4 to 10cm squeezed on affected area, no more than 4 times a day
- Not recommended for use in children under 12 years
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Ibuprofen
- Severe or active peptic ulceration
