Indications

• Symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate local pain
• Treatment of muscle and/or joints injuries
• Targeted for sport injuries

Pharmacology

• Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID)
• Analgesic action
• Antipyretic action
• Inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis
• Stabilization of lysosomal membranes
• Inhibition of leukotriene synthesis
• Antibradykinin activity
• Central nervous system (CNS) effect

Dosage & Administration

• Adult dosage: 2-3 times daily application
• Total daily dose not to exceed 15 grams
• Application should cover the painful area
• Massage onto the skin for a few minutes
• One week maximum length of treatment
• Children's usage not established for safety and efficacy

Interaction

• Low serum concentrations following topical administration

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity reactions
• Photosensitivity reactions
• Cutaneous reactions
• Pathological skin changes
• Infection on skin or open wounds
• Avoid sun exposure during treatment and 2 weeks after

Side Effects

• Possible immune system disorders
• Systemic gastrointestinal side effects
• Local and systemic skin reactions
• Rare renal and urinary disorders

Pregnancy & Lactation

• Avoid usage during first and second trimester
• Potential fetal toxicity in third trimester
• Not recommended in nursing mothers

Precautions & Warnings

• Caution in patients with reduced heart, liver, or renal function
• Avoid use with occlusive dressings
• Avoid contact with mucous membranes of the eyes
• Monitoring for serious skin reactions
• Protect treated region from sun exposure
• Prolonged hand washing after each use

Overdose Effects

• Unlikely for topical administration to cause overdose
• Possible systemic adverse effects if accidentally ingested
• Symptomatic and supportive treatment recommended
