Pharmacology
Contains Mefenamic Acid with analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic activity
Dosage & Administration
- Adult:
- 500 mg three times/day with meals
- 250 mg three times daily
- Menorrhagia: 500 mg three times daily with meals
- Children:
- 5 ml three times/day (6 months to 1 year)
- 10 ml three times/day (2-4 years)
- 10 ml four times/day (5-8 years)
- 15 ml four times/day (9-12 years)
Interaction
- Aspirin: Not generally recommended due to potential increased adverse effects
- Warfarin: Can inhibit platelet aggregation and may prolong prothrombin time
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Mefenamic Acid
- Peptic ulcer
- Inflammatory bowel diseases
- Hepatic or renal impairment
- Aspirin or other NSAIDs induced symptoms of bronchospasm or skin rashes

Pregnancy & Lactation
Use in women of childbearing potential and during pregnancy only if benefits outweigh risks. Avoid during nursing due to potential effects on the infant's cardiovascular system
