Interaction
- Diminishes the antihypertensive effect of ACE inhibitors
- Delays the absorption of Sonap with antacids & sucralfate
- Increases adverse effects when used with aspirin
- Reduces the natriuretic effect of diuretics
- Enhances the toxicity of methotrexate
- Increases the risk of GI bleeding with warfarin
- Increases the risk of GI bleeding with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI)
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to Naproxen
- Asthma, urticaria, or allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs
- Treatment of perioperative pain in the setting of coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery
