Indications

Pharmacology

Contraindications

  • Severe dehydration from diarrhea

Pregnancy & Lactation

  • Contraindicated in pregnant women
  • Not recommended for nursing mothers

Precautions & Warnings

  • Monitoring for dehydration in patients with underlying conditions
  • Careful monitoring in patients with inflammatory bowel disease
