Indications

Interaction

  • Reduction in bioavailability by antacids

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to Diclofenac, Misoprostol, or other prostaglandins
  • Asthma, urticaria, or allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs

Side Effects

  • Abdominal pain
  • Diarrhea
  • Other GI symptoms
  • Rare instances of profound diarrhea leading to severe dehydration

Pregnancy & Lactation

  • Contraindicated in pregnant women
  • Diclofenac Sodium found in the milk of nursing mothers
  • Not recommended for use by nursing mothers

  • Monitoring patients with underlying conditions
