Indications

• Treatment of osteoarthritis
• Treatment of rheumatoid arthritis
• High risk of NSAID-induced gastric and duodenal ulcers

Pharmacology

• Contains Diclofenac Sodium
• Contains Misoprostol
• NSAID with analgesic properties
• Gastrointestinal mucosal protective prostaglandin E 1 analog
• Inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to Diclofenac
• Hypersensitivity to Misoprostol
• Contraindicated in patients who have experienced allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs

Side Effects

• Abdominal pain
• Diarrhea
• Other GI symptoms
• Instances of profound diarrhea
• Severe dehydration

Pregnancy & Lactation

• Abortifacient property of Misoprostol
• Contraindicated in pregnant women
• Presence of Diclofenac Sodium in the milk of nursing mothers

Precautions & Warnings

• Monitoring for dehydration in patients with underlying conditions
• Careful use in patients with inflammatory bowel disease
