Dosage & Administration
- Adult tablet dosage: 25 mg to 50 mg 3 to 4 times daily
- Children tablet dosage: 25 mg 3 or 4 times daily
- Children under 2 years syrup dosage: 2.5 mL every 4 to 6 hours
- Children 2 to under 6 years syrup dosage: 5 mL every 4 to 6 hours
- Children 6 to 12 years syrup dosage: 10-20 mL every 4 to 6 hours
- Adults and children ≥12 years syrup dosage: 10-20 mL every 4 to 6 hours
- Adults and children over 12 years sleep aid dosage: 50 mg at bedtime

- Interactions with antidepressants
- Interactions with MAO inhibitors
- Increased CNS effect with alcohol and CNS depressants
Contraindications
- Contraindicated for premature or newborn infants
- Contraindicated for patients with hypersensitivity to any component of the drug
- Contraindicated for patients with asthma attack
- Contraindicated for patients with narrow angle glaucoma
- Contraindicated for patients with prostatic hypertrophy
- Contraindicated for patients with stenosing peptic ulcer
- Contraindicated for patients with pyloroduodenal obstructions
- Contraindicated for patients with bladder neck obstruction
- Contraindicated for patients receiving antidepressant therapy
