Dosage & Administration
- Adult dose: 60 mg - 180 mg once or twice daily

Interaction
- No hepatic biotransformation
- Increased level of fexofenadine with erythromycin or ketoconazole
- No interaction with omeprazole
- Reduction in bioavailability with antacids containing aluminium and magnesium hydroxide
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to Fexofenadine Hydrochloride or any of its ingredients
Side Effects
- Frequency-based rating of undesirable effects
- Reported effects include headache, drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, fatigue, hypersensitivity reactions, insomnia, tachycardia, palpitations, diarrhea, rash, urticaria, pruritus
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Limited data in pregnant women
- No data on human milk content
- Not recommended for breastfeeding mothers
- No effect on fertility in mice
Precautions & Warnings
- Limited data in older people, renally or hepatically impaired patients
- Special care for patients with cardiovascular disease
- Unlikely to produce effects on ability to drive or use machines
- Individual response testing advisable before driving or performing tasks
Use in Special Populations
- Altered pharmacokinetics in individuals with renal impairment
- 60 mg once daily for patients with decreased renal function
- No substantial effect on pharmacokinetics in moderate to severe hepatic disease
