Indications
- Relief of symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis

Pharmacology
- Responsible for mediating hypersensitivity and allergic reactions
- Binds to and activates H1 receptors
- Results in the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines

Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage: 60 mg twice daily or 120 mg once daily or 180 mg once daily
- Children 6 to 11 years dosage: 30 mg twice daily or 60 mg once daily
- Children 2 to 11 years suspension dosage: 30 mg or 5 ml twice daily
- Dosage adjustments for impaired renal function
Interaction
- No hepatic biotransformation
- Increased level with erythromycin or ketoconazole
- No interaction with omeprazole
- Reduction in bioavailability with aluminium and magnesium hydroxide containing antacids

- Known hypersensitivity to Fexofenadine Hydrochloride
