Dosage & Administration
- Recommended dosage for adults and children 12 years and older: 60 mg twice daily
- Recommended dosage for adults and children 12 years and older: 120 mg once daily
- Recommended dosage for adults and children 12 years and older: 180 mg once daily
- Recommended dosage for adults and children 12 years and older with impaired renal function: 60 mg once daily
- Recommended dosage for children from 6 to 11 years: 30 mg twice daily
- Recommended dosage for children from 6 to 11 years: 60 mg once daily
- Recommended dosage for children from 6 to 11 years with impaired renal function: 30 mg once daily
- Recommended dosage for children from 2 to 11 years: 30 mg or 5 ml twice daily

Interaction
- No hepatic biotransformation
- Increases in plasma level with coadministration of erythromycin or ketoconazole
- No interaction with omeprazole
- Reduction in bioavailability with antacid containing aluminium and magnesium hydroxide

Use in Special Populations
- Pharmacokinetics altered in individuals with renal impairment
- Dose adjustment recommended in patients with decreased renal function
- Moderate to severe hepatic disease does not substantially affect the pharmacokinetics
