Dosage administration
- For Adults and Children 12 Years and Older:
- 60 mg twice daily or 120 mg once daily or 180 mg once daily (tablet)
- In case of impaired renal function: 60 mg once daily
- For Children from 6 to 11 Years:
- 30 mg twice daily or 60 mg once daily (tablet)
- In case of impaired renal function: 30 mg once daily
- For Children from 2 to 11 Years:
- 30 mg or 5 ml twice daily (suspension)
- In case of impaired renal function: 30 mg or 5 ml once daily
- For Children from 6 months to less than 2 years:
- 15 mg or 2.5 ml (1/2 tsp) twice daily (suspension)
- In case of impaired renal function: 15 mg or 2.5 ml (1/2 tsp) once daily
Interaction
- No hepatic biotransformation interaction with other medicinal products
- Coadministration with erythromycin or ketoconazole increases level of fexofenadine in plasma
- No interaction between fexofenadine and omeprazole observed
- Antacid containing aluminium and magnesium hydroxide gels 15 minutes prior to Fexomin causes reduction in bioavailability

- Known hypersensitivity to Fexofenadine Hydrochloride or any of its ingredients

Pregnancy lactation
- Limited data on use in pregnant women
- Not recommended for mothers breastfeeding their babies
Precautions warnings
- Limited data in older people and renally or hepatically impaired patients
- Administered with care in special groups
- Patients with a history of or ongoing cardiovascular disease should be warned about adverse reactions
- Unlikely to produce an effect on the ability to drive or use machines
Use in special populations
- Renal and hepatic impaired patient: Altered pharmacokinetics in renal impairment, no substantial effect in moderate to severe hepatic disease
- Elderly patient: Altered pharmacokinetics in individuals over 65 years of age

- Single doses up to 800 mg and doses up to 690 mg twice daily for 1 month or 240 mg once daily for 1 year have been administered without clinically significant adverse reactions

- Haemodialysis does not effectively remove Fexomin from blood
