Description
Lipobi is a medication used as an adjunct to diet to reduce elevated total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, apolipoprotein B (Apo-B), and triglycerides levels in various conditions such as heterozygous and homozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia, mixed dyslipidemia, hypertriglyceridaemia, dysbetalipoproteinaemia, and to reduce cardiac ischaemic events in patients with coronary artery disease.

- Constipation, flatulence, dyspepsia, abdominal pain, headache, asthenia, rash, myalgia

- Contraindicated during pregnancy; not recommended during breastfeeding
- Precautions:
- Liver function tests should be performed before initiation of treatment, Lipobi should be used with caution in patients who consume substantial quantities of alcohol or have a history of liver disease
- Special Populations:
- Higher plasma concentrations in elderly, no influence of renal disease on plasma concentrations, contraindicated in hepatic insufficiency
- Overdose Effects:
- Specific treatment not available, monitor liver function tests and serum CK levels

- Store in a dry place away from light and heat, keep out of the reach of children
