    • Seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis

  • Pharmacology: Blocks histamine production
  • Dosage administration:
    • Allergic rhinitis:
      • Adults children 12 over:
        • 60 mg twice daily
        • 120 mg once daily
        • 180 mg once daily
      • Children 6 11:
        • 30 mg twice daily
        • 60 mg once daily
      • Children 2 11:
        • 30 mg or 5 ml twice daily
    • Chronic idiopathic urticaria:
      • Adults children 12 over:
        • 60 mg twice daily
        • 120 mg once daily
        • 180 mg once daily
      • Children 6 11:
        • 30 mg twice daily
        • 60 mg once daily
      • Children 6 months less than 2 years:
        • 15 mg or 2.5 ml (1/2 tsp) twice daily
      • Children 2 11:

  • Interaction: No interaction with omeprazole, caution with antacids
  • Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to Fexofenadine Hydrochloride

    • Ability to drive use machines: Unlikely to produce significant effects on central nervous system function
    • Special populations: Altered pharmacokinetics in renal impairment, caution in patients over 65 years of age
