Description
Nolargy 30 mg Tablet is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, and chronic idiopathic urticaria. It significantly reduces symptoms including sneezing, rhinorrhea, lacrimation, and itching.

- Adults and children 12 years and older:
- 60 mg twice daily
- 120 mg once daily
- 180 mg once daily
- Children from 6 to 11 years:
- 30 mg twice daily

- 30 mg or 5 ml twice daily
- Adults and children 12 years and older:
- Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria:

Mode of action
Fexofenadine is considered an inverse agonist of the H1 receptor, preventing its activation and downstream effects. It has potent and selective affinity for H1 receptors and does not cross the blood-brain barrier.
Interaction
Nolargy does not undergo hepatic biotransformation and has been found to interact with erythromycin, ketoconazole, and antacids containing aluminium and magnesium hydroxide gels.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Fexofenadine Hydrochloride or any of its ingredients.

Precautions and warnings
Administer with care in the elderly and renally or hepatically impaired patients. Patients with a history of cardiovascular disease should be warned about potential adverse reactions.
Use in special populations
- Renal and hepatic impaired patient: Altered pharmacokinetics in renal impairment, no substantial effect in moderate to severe hepatic disease
- Elderly patient: Similar adverse events compared to younger patients, altered pharmacokinetics in individuals over 65 years of age
Overdose effects
Reported effects include dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, and dry mouth. Standard measures for removal of unabsorbed product and symptomatic support are recommended.
