Indications

- Non-sedative histamine H1 receptor antagonist

Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage: One tablet once daily
- Administration usually in the morning
- Child dosage based on body weight
- Not recommended for use below 2 years
Interaction
- No reports of potentially hazardous interactions with other drugs
- No potentiating effects when administered concurrently with alcohol
- Potential elevation of plasma concentrations with certain concomitant therapies
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity or idiosyncrasy to components
Side Effects
- Comparable adverse event incidence to placebo during clinical studies
- No significant impact on driving performance or cognitive functioning
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Not advisable during pregnancy
- Excreted in breast milk in very small amount
Precautions & Warnings
- Caution in patients with liver impairment or renal insufficiency
Overdose Effects
- Reported effects in adults: somnolence, tachycardia, headache
- Reported effects in children: extrapyramidal signs, palpitations
- Symptomatic and supportive measures should be instituted promptly
- Consideration of oral activated charcoal in early presentation after large overdoses
