Indications

Dosage & Administration
- One tablet daily for adults and children over 12 years
- Morning administration recommended for adults and children over 12 years
- Dose adjustment based on body weight for children 2-12 years
- Not recommended for children below 2 years of age
Interaction
- No hazardous interactions reported with other drugs
- No potentiating effects with alcohol
- Potential elevation of plasma concentrations when co-administered with hepatic cytochromes P450 3A4 and 2D6 metabolized drugs
- Cimetidine and erythromycin/ketoconazole interaction potential
- No adverse effects reported with increased serum concentrations
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the components
Side Effects
- Comparable adverse events incidence to placebo during clinical studies
- Comparable effect on driving performance and cognitive/psychomotor functioning to placebo
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Not advisable during pregnancy due to lack of human experience
- Excreted in breast milk in very small amount
- Not recommended for nursing mothers
Precautions & Warnings
- Caution in patients with liver impairment or renal insufficiency (eGFR <30 ml/min)
Overdose Effects
- Reported effects in adults: somnolence, tachycardia, headache
- Reported effects in children: extrapyramidal signs, palpitations
- Prompt symptomatic and supportive measures recommended for overdosage
- Consideration of oral activated charcoal and induced vomiting or gastric lavage for early presentation
