Indications
- Fast relief from seasonal allergic rhinitis
- Effective for skin allergies including chronic urticaria
- Alleviates symptoms of allergic rhinitis
- Relieves nasal and ocular symptoms
- Indicated in idiopathic urticaria
Pharmacology
- Non-sedative histamine H1 receptor antagonist
- Long-acting tricyclic antihistamine
- Selective peripheral H1-receptor antagonistic activity
- Rapidly effective and long-lasting
- Once-a-day administration
Dosage & Administration
- Adults and children over 12 years: One tablet once daily
- Children 2-12 years: Dosage based on body weight
- Not recommended for use below 2 years of age
Interaction
- No reports of potentially hazardous interactions with other drugs
- No potentiating effects with alcohol
- Concomitant therapy caution with hepatic cytochromes P450 3A4 and 2D6 inhibiting drugs
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity or idiosyncrasy to components

- Comparable adverse events to placebo
- No sedation or anticholinergic effects observed
- Comparable to placebo in driving and psychomotor performance tests
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Not advisable during pregnancy
- Excreted in breast milk in small amount
- Nursing mothers advised not to take the drug
