Dosage & Administration
- One tablet daily for adults and children over 12 years
- Morning administration recommended
- Adjusted dosage for children aged 2-12 years based on body weight
- Not recommended for children below 2 years of age
Interaction
- No hazardous interactions reported with other drugs
- No potentiating effects with alcohol
- Potential elevation of plasma concentrations with specific drug interactions
- Cautious use with drugs inhibiting or metabolized by hepatic cytochromes P450 3A4 and 2D6
- Cimetidine and erythromycin/ketoconazole effects on serum concentrations
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity or idiosyncrasy to components

Pregnancy & Lactation
- Not advisable during human pregnancy due to lack of experience
- Excreted in breast milk in trace amounts
- Not recommended for nursing mothers
Precautions & Warnings
- Caution in patients with liver impairment
- Caution in patients with renal insufficiency (eGFR < 30 ml/min)
Overdose Effects
- Reported effects of somnolence, tachycardia, and headache in adults
- Reported effects of extrapyramidal signs and palpitations in children
- Prompt instituting of symptomatic and supportive measures in event of overdosage
- Possible treatment with oral activated charcoal
- Potential induction of vomiting or gastric lavage for conscious patients
