Togent 2%+0.1% (Cream)

Indications

• Relief of pain and itching from insect bites
• Relief of pain and itching from minor burns
• Relief of pain and itching from sunburn
• Relief of pain and itching from minor skin irritations
• Relief of pain and itching from minor cuts and scrapes
• Relief of pain and itching from rashes due to poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac
• Dries the oozing and weeping of poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac

Pharmacology

• Contains Diphenhydramine as an antihistamine
• Zinc used as a skin protectant
• Blocks the release of histamine at its source

Dosage & Administration

• Recommended for adults and children above 2 years
• Apply to affected area 3 to 4 times daily
• Skin should be clean, cool, and dry before application
• Recommended not to have a hot shower or bath before applying
• Apply lightly on the skin until the cream disappears

Contraindications

• Not suitable for individuals with known allergy to its components
• Contraindicated for those allergic to other pyrethroids or pyrethrins

Side Effects

• Contact dermatitis with mild erythematous vesicular lesions and papules

Pregnancy & Lactation

• Should only be used during pregnancy under medical advice
• Unlikely to have teratogenic effects
• Caution should be exercised in administration to nursing mothers

• Flammable and should be kept away from fire or flame
• Avoid use on large areas of the body with any other product containing diphenhydramine
• Consult with a physician before use on chicken pox or measles
