Indications
- Topical application for tinea pedis, tinea cruris, tinea corporis, cutaneous candidiasis, and tinea versicolor
- Treatment for Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Trichophyton tonsurans, Microsporum canis, Microsporum audouini, Microsporum gypseum, Epidermophyton floccosum
Pharmacology
- Interferes with fungal oxidative enzymes
- Causes lethal accumulation of H2O2
- Reduces the formation of ergosterol in fungal cell wall
Dosage & Administration
- Vaginal tablet: to be inserted deep into the vagina at bedtime
- Applicator for cream application
- Vaginal cream application
- Topical cream application for tinea pedis, tinea cruris, tinea corporis, and tinea versicolor
- Longer courses advisable for recurrent vaginal infections
- Clinical improvement seen soon after treatment begins
- Treatment duration for different conditions
Interaction
- Concomitant administration with warfarin may enhance anticoagulation effect
- Monitoring of International Normalized Ratio (INR) and/or prothrombin time may be indicated
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any ingredients

- Pruritic rash

- No prolonged gestation or adverse reproductive effects observed
- Pregnancy Category C
- Use during first trimester only if essential
